PUSHPASHRAMA BROTHERS AT JUBILEE YEAR INAUGURATION
The Jubilee Year, a significant celebration in the life of the Catholic
Church, was ceremoniously inaugurated in the Diocese of Mysore on
December 29, 2024. Archbishop Emeritus Bernard Moras, the apostolic
administrator, presided over the solemn event, which commenced with a
grand procession. Led by an awe-inspiring 8-foot tall crucifix, the
procession featured captivating tableaux, each conveying a profound
spiritual message. Notably, the tableau presented by the brothers of
Pushpashrama, in collaboration with the Virgin of the Poor parish,
beautifully depicted Jesus imparting the profound wisdom of the
Beatitudes during the Sermon on the Mount. The procession, which
traversed from Our Lady of the Poor Church on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road to
St. Philomena's Cathedral, culminated in a special mass attended by a
congregation of faithful from the dioceses of Mysuru, Mandya,
Chamarajanagar, and Kodagu. This Jubilee Year will witness a diverse
array of spiritual and social initiatives aimed at nurturing faith and
fostering a spirit of service within the diocese. May it be a time of
rejuvenation and hope to many in the diocese and beyond.
