religious and those in the consecrated life, was held on Sunday at the
Pushpashrama Auditorium on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Organized by
Dhyanavana: International Institute of Spirituality in collaboration
with the Conference of Religious India (CRI), Mysore, the seminar drew
over 200 participants from across the region.
The event, themed “We are Pilgrims of Hope,” commenced with the
celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the Infant Jesus Shrine at 9:15
a.m. The seminar featured two distinguished speakers who explored the
theme from different perspectives. Rev. Dr. Joseph Titus, Professor of
Sacred Scripture at St. Peter’s Pontifical Seminary, Bengaluru,
delivered an enlightening talk on “Hope from the Biblical Perspective,”
while Rev. Dr. Joy Francis OCD, Director of Ryshivana, Mangaluru, spoke
on “How to Be People of Hope Today.”
Rev. Fr Lancy Lovis OCD, Vice-Rector, Pushpashrama, welcomed the
gathering while Rev. Dr. Rathan Almeida OCD, Director, Dhyanavana,
skillfully moderated the sessions, ensuring a seamless flow of ideas and
discussions. The speakers’ insights, rooted in scripture and
contemporary relevance, resonated deeply with the audience, inspiring
them to embrace hope as a guiding principle in their spiritual and
communal lives.
The seminar concluded at 1:00 p.m. with lunch, providing participants an
