Seminar on AI in Education
A thought-provoking teachers’ seminar on the theme “Revolutionizing
Learning: AI in Education” was organized at the Pushpashrama Institute
of Philosophy and Religion, R S Naidu Nagar, on Saturday, February, 8,
2025. The event, which ran from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, attracted around 400
participants, including educators, academicians, and formators from
seminaries and religious houses.
The seminar featured distinguished speakers like Dr. Amruthavalli,
Associate Professor at the Department of Studies in Genetics, University
of Mysore; Nikitha Chris Miranda, Assistant Professor in the Department
of Commerce at St. Vincent Pallotti Degree College, Bengaluru; and Dr.
Madhu, Assistant Professor in Mathematics at the Department of Education
in Science and Mathematics, RIE Mysuru.
Rev. Dr Oswald Crasta, Rector of Pushpashrama, formally welcomed the
gathering, while Rev. Dr Wilfred Rodrigues, Dean of the Philosophy
Institute, anchored the event and moderated the sessions. The seminar
aimed to equip educators with innovative strategies to integrate AI into
teaching and learning processes, fostering a more dynamic and effective
educational environment.
All participants were awarded certificates of participation in
recognition of their engagement and commitment to advancing educational
practices. The event concluded with lunch, providing attendees an
opportunity to reflect on the insights shared during the seminar. The
seminar reinforced the importance of embracing AI as a tool to enhance
learning outcomes and prepare students for the challenges of the future.
