The inauguration of the academic year 2014-15, of Pushpashrama
The inauguration of the academic year 2014-15, of Pushpashrama, Institute of Philosophy & Religion was held on Monday 7th of July 2014. Fr. George Santumayor, the Vice provincial and the councilor incharge of formation and on going formation, precided over the Holy Eucharist at 9.00 am, which was concelebrated by 14 Carmelite priests. Fr. Alfred menezes, the rector of the college in his meaningful homily highlighted our vocation to search the eternal wisdom God himself. A meaningful liturgy was conducted by the students.

At 10.30 am lectio brevis started with the lighting of the lamp. Fr. Alfred Menezes welcomed one and all. Fr. Oswald Crasta dean of studies briefed the gathering with the annual report. Rev. Fr. Dr. Denis D’Souza the chief guest addressed the gathering with the theme ‘Plotinus and Indian thought’. Fr. George Santumayor releasing the student magazine “COSMOS”, encouraged the students and the staff inviting all to become true seekers of wisdom. Fr. Sunil Rodrigues thanked all. The program was compered by Br. Ashwath D’Souza.
