A Grand Celebration of Divine Mercy at Infant Jesus Shrine
This year, the Divine Mercy Feast was celebrated with great devotion and
joy at Infant Jesus Shrine on April 27. For the first time, a solemn
feast Mass was held in the evening, preceded by two hours of Eucharistic
Adoration to help the faithful prepare their hearts to receive God s
abundant mercy. The Adoration began with the prayerful singing of the
Divine Mercy Chaplet in English and concluded with the Chaplet sung
beautifully in Kannada at 4:30 PM, followed by Holy Mass at 5:00 PM.
Rev. Fr. Jeevan Tauro OCD, from Dhyanasadhana - Centre of Holistic
Spirituality, was the main celebrant and preacher. In his inspiring
homily, he reflected on God s endless mercy, which flows from the
pierced heart of Jesus into our lives whenever we surrender to Him with
the prayer, "Jesus, I trust in You." At the end of the celebration each
family present received a blessed image of the Divine Mercy, to keep in
their homes as a reminder of God s merciful love.
