Infant Jesus Shrine Celebrates the Triumphant Easter Vigil
After 40 days of Lenten preparation and the profound spiritual journey
of Holy Week, the Infant Jesus Shrine was radiant with anticipation as
the faithful gathered for the most sacred liturgy of the year the Easter
Vigil. The liturgy began in darkness, illuminated only by the new fire
blessed at the entrance. Rev. Fr. Don Tony, the main celebrant, then led
the solemn procession into the church, raising high the Paschal Candle,
symbolizing the light of the Risen Christ. Rev. Fr. Oswald Crasta, in
his inspiring homily, reflected on how we, as disciples, make the Risen
Christ present today through acts of love, mercy, and unwavering hope.
The faithful gathered in large numbers to share the joy of Christ's
victory over sin and death and His gift of eternal life to all humanity.
He is risen indeed Alleluia! We are now an Easter people, and
"Alleluia" is our song!
