Holy Week Celebrations at Pushpashrama
We at Pushpashrama celebrated Holy Week with deep devotion and great
joy, entering prayerfully into the sacred mysteries of the Lord’s
Passion, Death, and Resurrection.
Maundy Thursday was solemnly celebrated by Rev Fr Vijay D’Costa. During
the liturgy, he washed the feet, a sign of service and love. A
meaningful homily was delivered by Rev Fr Oswald Crasta, emphasizing the
cleaning of the dust of both body and soul, inviting all to deeper
spiritual renewal.
On Good Friday, the day began with a meaningful Way of the Cross
conducted by the brothers, which was enacted with deep devotion. In the
evening, the solemn service was conducted by Fr Ivan Sequeira. Rev Fr
Vijay D’Costa preached a meaningful homily on the defects of Jesus,
which is a sign of love and mercy, leading the faithful into a deeper
reflection on His suffering.
The Easter Vigil Mass was solemnly celebrated by Rev Fr Oswald Crasta. A
meaningful homily was given by Rev Fr Lancy Lewis, emphasizing the night
which brought salvation and joy, the triumph of light over darkness, and
the hope of new life in Christ.
The entire celebration of Holy Week was marked by devotion, active
participation, and a deep spirit of prayer, leading all to experience
the joy of the Risen Lord.
