CELEBRATIONS:

On September 9th 2012,
Konkani Christians around Mysore marked the birth of Mary,
mother of Jesus, with the ceremonial partaking of the new
corn. Offering of flowers by children and Blessing of the
new corn near the Grotto of Mary was presided by Frs. Joe
tauro and Wilfred frankocd. With the paddy procession to the
church, began the rest of the liturgical proceedings. At the
end vorn(sweet malt) mixed with corn was blessed as a symbol
of family gathering.All were served with sugar cane and
breakfast.
