Feast of our Lady of Mount Carmel: Pushpashrama, Infant Jesus Shrine, Mysore
The feast of our lady of Mount Carmel at Pushpashrama Infant Jesus Shrine was celebrated on the 16th and on the 20th of July. On the 16th, it was a community celebration with a few people who come for daily mass. Fr Lancy Rajesh Levis OCD, the main celebrant of the celebration, highlighted the importance of the feast and the role of Mary in our life. On the 20th, we had the solemn celebrations at 8.00 am and 11.00 am presided over by Fr Ajith Rodrigues OCD, dean at Dhyanavana and Fr Antony Stephen OCD and attended by a good number of people. The main celebrants, in their homily highlighted the historical and traditional elements of the feast and its relevance today. At the end of the masses, scapulars were blessed and distributed to the faithful.
