Double the Joy, Triple the celebration
The Pushpashrama Community came together in joyful celebration on the
evening of 21 June 2026 to honour two of its beloved members the Rector
Fr. Alphonse Britto and Fr. Prasanna Kumar, who joyfully marked the
milestone of his 60th birthday. The programme was preceded by a prayer
service, grounding the celebration in faith and thanksgiving.
Following this, the community fathers and brothers extended their warm
and affectionate wishes to both celebrants in a beautifully organized
programme organized by Fr Richard Saldanha with the collaboration of the
brothers. The brothers, brimming with creativity, put together a
programme that delighted everyone present. A humorous skit had the
audience in peals of laughter. A specially composed wishing song,
written for the occasion, added a deeply personal touch to the
celebration. An eye-catching dance multiplied the joy of the event.
Words of appreciation were offered by Fr. Vijay and Fr Prithesh who
spoke warmly of Fr. Prasanna Kumar and Fr Alphonse respectively. The
celebration was made all the more glorious by the presence of the newly
ordained priests, Fr. Hilary, Fr. Alwin and Fr. Elston whose presence
brought with it the joy of new priestly life. Adding to the delight was
Fr. Loy the benjamin of the Pushpashrama community. The solemnity of the
occasion was further enriched by the gracious participation of fathers
from the Dhyanavana, Dhyanasadhana and Belur communities.
